BRIDGEPORT, PA. - The Marist water polo team will be the second seed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships in Lewisburg, Pa. on March 1-2, the league announced on Monday. The tournament is comprised of six Collegiate Water Polo Association teams and two MAAC Water Polo League teams. The Red Foxes will open play on Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. against Grove City College.

The host Bucknell Bison garnered the top seed in the tournament. Harvard is the third seed, with Mercyhurst and MAAC team Wagner being seeded fourth and fifth respectively. Last season, Marist was the fifth seed and finished fifth by defeating Slippery Rock and Wagner.

The tournament schedule is as follows:

Saturday, March 1:
Game 1, 9 a.m.: (1) Bucknell vs. (8) Slippery Rock
Game 2, 10:30 a.m.: (4) Mercyhurst vs. (5) Wagner
Game 3, Noon: (2) Marist vs. (7) Grove City
Game 4, 1:30 p.m.: (3) Harvard vs. (6) George Washington
Game 5, 4 p.m.: Loser of Game 2 vs. Loser of Game 1
Game 6, 5:30 p.m.: Loser of Game 4 vs. Loser of Game 3
Game 7, 7 p.m.: Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2
Game 8, 8:30 p.m.: Winner of Game 3 vs. Winner of Game 4

Sunday, March 2:
9 a.m.: Loser of Game 6 vs. Loser of Game 5 (7th Place)
10:30 a.m.: Loser of Game 8 vs. Loser of Game 7 (3rd Place)
Noon: Winner of Game 7 vs. Winner of Game 8 (1st Place)
1:30 p.m.: Winner of Game 5 vs. Winner of Game 6 (5th Place)

Marist is currently 4-4 on the season and 1-2 against the tournament field. The Red Foxes defeated George Washington 9-5 on Sunday at the Terrapin Invitational and lost to Bucknell twice at the Hilton Invitational.
