Opponents hit just .259 against him... 2001: Saw action in 23 games, making 10 starts, tossing 99.2 innings ... Struck out nearly a batter an inning, whiffing 87 opponents... Posted a team-best ERA of 2.71 during the year... Opponents hit only .238 on the year... 2000: Was one of the team’s workhorses, throwing in 31 games, making five starts, and throwing three complete games...
